Level 2.
In this section, we require:
- At least 2 paragraphs (or approximately 200 words) per IC post.
- A decent standard of writing.
- Well-planned, clear plots.
- Reasonably experienced roleplayers.
WARNING: If we find a minimum of three posts in a roleplay which violate the guides set in place for the section its in, the participants of that thread will be told and asked to bring it to the level required.
If we find three NEW posts which still don't meet our section guidelines, we'll move the roleplay to a section we feel is more appropriate. This is just to keep everything in the right area, don't worry. We won't be mad at you.

And now, on to the good stuff. Welcome to the Level 2 section, folks.
This is the middle section - the gray area where you come to roleplay if you're unsure of which level you'd be most comfortable in. It's a good place to test your skills and get a feel for things, as there's not a lot of pressure but quality is still important.
Here at The Writing Buzz, we feel it is best to separate roleplayers into 3 categories determined by skill level. This isn't to form any sort of elitist clique, but simply to ensure that everyone is able to play with people of their own general 'level'. It can be extremely daunting to be a new writer and end up in a thread with people that are writing eight paragraphs a post. Likewise, it can be limiting to the writer that wants to be writing extremely detailed posts but finds himself in a roleplay that doesn't allow it. For this reason, we think it works best for everyone if you can pick and choose exactly what sort of roleplay you're looking for.
In keeping with that, Level 2 requires at least two paragraphs of good writing with decent characterization and enough information for someone to easily reply to you. The maximum post length allowed here is about four paragraphs, or just under 500 words. Any roleplay in the Level 2 section containing posts exceeding that length will need to be moved to Level 3. Likewise, if it contains posts of less than 200 words, it'll be moved to Level 1.
If you find that your roleplay is no longer the quality/level you planned for it to be, please contact a member of staff to have it moved to the appropriate section.
And as always, all forum rules apply. If you have any problems please don't hesitate to message me.
- EXAMPLE OF AN AVERAGE LEVEL 2 POST:
- Patricia fanned herself lightly with her hand while she leaned, casual as could be, against the outside of a busy bar, right by the entrance where she could easily duck back in and resume her session at the bar. However for the time being she was content to prop the wall up and take an occasional gulp of the large drink in her other hand. She was enjoying the show Yin Jingshen was putting on for the crowd. She'd recognized him immediately, of course. Few people with her particular interests wouldn't. His presence there in the middle of nowhere had her somewhat surprised, though, and she wasn't sure if she was willing to believe his explanation. He thought the town was worthy, did he? She made a snorting, huffing sound in the back of her throat and pushed away from the wall. That was pretty arrogant, she felt, even for someone of his obvious skill.
Not truly drunk but tipsy enough to be just slightly more cocky than usual, Patricia wove her way through the crowd. Before she reached Yin she put her drink down on a random chair and grinned mischievously - somebody would get a wet surprise when they sat down. For a moment she wondered where Kitti was. The last time she saw him had been when they first entered the town earlier that day. They'd gone their separate ways with a promise to meet up at the square by the end of the day. Vaguely she considered whether he'd approve of what she was about to do, then she reprimanded herself for even thinking about it - of course he'd approve. She would have been surprised if he didn't do the same exact thing, in fact.
After some more careful maneuvering through the throng of people who seemed to converge around the famous martial artist, she reached him and went to stand by his side. "Evening, there," she said with a small wave and grinned widely. "Hope you don't mind me just butting in here, but I heard your announcement just now and I was wondering ..." She paused to chuckle lightly at her own cheekiness and scratched at the bridge of her nose. "Just for a laugh, you know ... I was wondering why you think the people of this town are the only ones worthy of your teachings? What about the rest of us poor, non-Monte Santo residents? We're not worth your time?"
